Common European Language Proficiency Levels

The Common European language proficiency levels had been developped by the Council of Europe. This system is at the same time comprehensive and coherent: the most important aspects of language competence are described at 6 levels (A1 to C2). Thanks to this system, language competence can be assessed and described in a manner which is transparent to all those concerned (learners, parents, teachers, schools, employers, etc).
